The Cherryville MMC is a Fundamental, Bible believing, Bible preaching church. We are part of the Missionary Methodist Church of America Conference ( we are not affilated with the United Methodist Church) which is comprised of 14 other Churches. All base in North Carolina.
What We Believe
God -- There is only one true God. He is eternal and the creator and sustainer of all things. God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus -- Jesus is the virgin born Son of God. He is God and came to this world as a genuine man that He might save us from our sin. He lived the only sinless life, died by means of crucifixion to pay for our forgiveness, arose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven and will come again.
The Holy Spirit -- God the Holy Spirit is at work convincing unbelievers of their need to be saved through Jesus. He also is empowering and enriching the lives of Christians.
Bible -- The author of the Bible is God. Using human writers, God has provided truth without any mixture of error in the pages of scripture. It is the sole authority for faith.
Salvation -- Salvation is God's gift of eternal life through His Son. It is received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who are saved are eternally secure in their relationship with God.
Baptism -- Water baptism is an act of obedience for those who are saved.
