Gene and Shelba Pollic are members of the Cherryville MMC Church. They were originally from Indiana and moved to Eastern North Carolina in 1986 until God called them back home to Indiana in 1999. Gene worked in the truck-manufacturing arena in Indiana and while in North Carolina he worked as chief engineer and plant manager prior to serving the Lord full-time with MFMI. They both enjoy traveling and interacting with God?s people.
Bringing a team effort to MFMI, both Gene and Shelba have a heart for the lay people of the church and serve to further the cause of Jesus Christ and to spread His Gospel to all creatures.
Their field of special interest is Haiti. Gene has been the prayer leader for Sector 7 for Operation Saturation since its beginning in 2000. On October 27 of 2006 Gene was asked to become the Prayer Champion for all of Haiti under MFMI?s Worldwide Prayer Initiative. They are both excited to continue serving the OMSI / MFMI in the United States, Haiti, Spain, Russia, Japan, Mozambique; Mexico and the rest of the world __ for Jesus Christ.
OMS International (since 1901) ?an evangelical, interdenominational faith mission formerly known as The Oriental Missionary Society?reaches the nations for Christ through evangelism, theological training and church planting in Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. OMS then joins with those churches in global partnerships to reach the rest of the world.
MFMI (since 1954) exists to challenge people with the unfinished task of reaching the lost for Christ. The challenge of MFMI is:
· DO whatever God asks you to do
· DO wherever God asks you to go
· GIVE whatever God asks you to give.
Gene and Shelba would also like to add: PRAY for the lost of your community and for all the lost of the world to know Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour!
